WORKING NOTE
LoRaWAN provides long-range communication with small energy and bandwidth budgets. Edge intelligence can make that constraint useful: a node can detect change, summarise a measurement or raise an alert locally, sending only what the shared service needs. The research focuses on coverage, energy autonomy, explainable rules, offline recovery and maintainability.
POSSIBLE SCOPE
- Environmental, water, energy or infrastructure monitoring across dispersed sites.
- Local anomaly detection that reduces transmissions and response time.
- Store-and-forward operation when gateways or internet access are unavailable.
